Episode 110: Rapid Fire Q&A: 4th Quarter Pitches, Buyer follow-up, MAPs, Bribing Buyers, & Skipping Tradeshows

We are wrapping up Season 9 of the Food Biz Wiz podcast with a rapid-fire Q&A!

In today's show, I'm answering your questions on:

  • Pitching during the holiday season.

  • Connecting with buyers if you didn't go to tradeshows this year.

  • Establishing a minimum accepted retail price or MAP.

  • Checking in with your retail accounts.

  • Whether or not you should give your wholesale buyers holiday gifts this upcoming season.

In this episode I mentioned some possible gifts you could give your retail accounts:

  • Branded box cutters - the small, flat ones that are about 4” x 1” and as thin as a piece of heavy cardboard and fit inside a stocker’s pocket.

  • Cooler gloves - if your product is frozen or in the fridge.

  • Branded Sharpies & pens - Retail accounts frequently run out!

  • Face masks - Always necessary!
