Episode 86: Four Food Industry Lesson from 12 months of COVID

This past year was TOUGH, but I’m so proud of the way my Retail Ready students handled the ups and downs with their food & beverage businesses. In today’s show, I’m sharing four lessons that my community learned over the past year, and how you can learn from their successes (and mistakes!) to position yourself for stability and success as we move forward.

I’ll address channel strategy, founder mindset, using data to make decisions, connecting with your community, identifying your values, and more, but the key takeaways were:

  1. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket

  2. Avoid analysis paralysis

  3. Relationships matter

  4. Take a stand

Tune in to hear the details of each lesson, and how you can use these insights in your own food or beverage business.

In today’s show, I also reference one of my favorite previous episodes: Episode 80: The Ideas Filter. This past show outlines how you, as a business owner or manager, can use The Ideas Filter to ensure you’re working on the RIGHT things at the RIGHT time for your business.

Thanks, as always, for tuning in! See you right back here next week as we kickoff season eight of the Food Biz Wiz podcast!
